On Saturday, 26 May 2018 at the Local Museum of Traditional Embroidery and Silversmith-work, at the village of Lefkara, will be held the launch of the art exhibition by the artist Lefteris Olympios titled “The Story of Neophytos the Recluse” at 18.00. The art exhibition is organized by the Department of Antiquities and the Lefkara Municipality.

The theme of the work of the artist Lefteris Olympios, ‘narrates’ in his own particular distinct way, the life of a Cypriot who emerges from the long history of his homeland through his life and work.

At the opening of the art exhibition, the historian Dr Catia Galatariotou, will give a lecture, in Greek, on the relation of the visual work created by Lefteris Olympiou with Neophytos the Recluse.

The duration of the art exhibition, which takes place in the framework of the celebrations of the International Museum Day 2018, will last until 9 September 2018, where it will then relocated to the Teloglion Fine Arts Foundation in Thessaloniki.
