Voting ended according to schedule.

Sorting and counting of ballots run as planned and at 7:23 p.m. we had the results of the last poll.

I have now the final official election results which are as follows:

The turnout of voters is 407.475 which is equal to 73.97%.

In comparison, the voter turnout in the first round was 71.88% of the total registered voters. Abstention votes reached 26.03%, invalid votes 2.65%, blank votes 2.99%.

The number of valid votes was 384.524, which is equal to 94.37%.

Votes received according to the order of candidates on the ballot:

Nicos Anastasiades               215.281              55.99%

Stavros Malas                       169.243               44.01%

Based on these results, the President-elect is Mr Nicos Anastasiades.

The ceremony for the declaration of the President-elect shall take place at the Stadium “Tassos Papadopoulos – Eleftheria” at 10 p.m
