The President of the Republic departs for Brussels

The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, departs tonight for Brussels where he will participate in the Special European Council Summit on 24-25 of May 2021.

Among other issues, the Council will examine matters concerning the efforts to deal with COVID-19 such as the vaccination program and the green digital certificate, the Climate Change, the situation in the Middle East, and the EU External Relations, and more specifically those with the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom.

President Anastasiades will be accompanied in Brussels by the Government Spokesman, Mr Kyriacos Koushos.
