Annual Increase 8,4%

The Statistical Service announces the publication of detailed data on the sales of commodities produced by industrial units in Cyprus in 2019, both in quantity (wherever this is possible) and in value terms.

During 2019 the total sales of industrial commodities of local production reached €3.514,4 million compared to €3.242,9 million in 2018, registering an increase of 8,4%.

The sales from local industrial units of some indicative products were in 2019: halloumi cheese 36,8 thousand tonnes with value €245,0 million, pasteurized milk and fresh cream 64,6 million litres with value €78,2 million, fresh fruit juice 64,3 thousand tonnes with value €40,4 million, prepared meat products €43,1 million, fresh bakery and pastry products €259,0 million, beer 40,4 million litres with value €47,2 million, wines €30,3 million, soft drinks 13,2 million litres with value €16,2 million, wearing apparel €12,9 million, pharmaceutical products and preparations €284,4 million, cement €99,7 million and ready-mixed concrete 2,7 million cubic metres with value €174,3 million.
