The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the new monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for March 2018.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a)      Total imports(covering total imports from third countries and from EU member states) in January-March 2018 amounted to €1.946,0 mn as compared to €1.869,8 mn in January-March 2017. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU member states) in January-March 2018 were €1.268,9  mn compared to €601,0 mn in January-March 2017. The trade deficitwas €677,1 mn in January-March 2018 compared to €1.268,8  mn in the corresponding period of 2017.

(b)      During March 2018 total imports (covering total imports from third countries and from EU member states) valued at €721,2 mn as compared to €704,8 mn in March 2017.

(c)       Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU member states), including stores and provisions, in March 2018 amounted to €876,7 mn as compared to €247,9 mn in March 2017. Exports of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions in March 2018 were €106,6 mn as compared to €126,8 mn in March 2017 whilst exports of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, in March 2018 were €770,1 mn as compared to €121,1 mn in March 2017. Total domestic exports of industrial products in March 2018 were €92,0 mn compared to €113,4 mn in March 2017. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in March 2018 were €13,0 mn compared to €10,7 mn in March 2017.
