Ambassador Leonidas S. Markides presents his credentials to the President of the Republic of Belarus
The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Russian Federation, Mr Leonidas S. Markides, presented on June 26, 2018, his credentials to the President of the Republic of Belarus, Mr Alexander Lukashenko, as the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Belarus, stationed in Moscow.
President Lukashenko, in a brief speech after the presentation of credentials by ten new foreign Ambassadors and referring to Belarussian-Cyprus relations, underlined that the Republic of Belarus is interested in further developing the relations with the Republic of Cyprus on all issues of bilateral and of global agenda.
President Lukashenko mentioned that bilateral relations could be developed in the information and communication technology sector, as well as the tourism sector. There are good prospects in this respect, the President noted.
Ambassador Markides assured the Belarussian President that he will work to further strengthen the very good relations that exist between the governments and people of the two countries.
