The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, will travel to Montenegro tonight, where he will pay a two-day official visit at the invitation of the President of Montenegro, Mr Milo Đukanović.

During his official visit President Anastasiades, who will be accompanied by his wife Andri Anastasiades, will have a tête-à-tête meeting on 5 April with President Đukanović, with whom he also will head bilateral discussions of the two countries’ delegations, at the Presidential Palace, in the country’s capital Podgorica.

Among the issues to be discussed are bilateral relations, the developments in the Cyprus problem and the ongoing Turkish provocations towards the Republic of Cyprus, the situation in Ukraine and EU-Montenegro relations.

The President of the Republic will also have a meeting on 6 April with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Mr Zdravko Krivokapić.

During his stay in Montenegro, the President of the Republic will visit the Old Town of Kotor, while he will also be given a guided tour of the Maritime Museum and the marina of the city of Tivat. 

The President of the Republic will be accompanied to Montenegro by the Government Spokesman Mr Marios Pelekanos, the Deputy Minister to President Mr Kyriacos Koushos and the Shipping Deputy Minister to the President Mr Vassilis Demetriades, who will have a private meeting with his counterpart on the sidelines of the official visit.
