The new High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Rwanda, with residence in Nairobi, Mr Savvas Vladimirou, presented his credentials to President Paul Kagame on 27 November 2024.

In a meeting that followed with President Kagame, High Commissioner Vladimirou conveyed the warm greetings of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, and expressed the commitment to further deepen bilateral relations with the Republic of Rwanda.

Reciprocating the greetings of President Christodoulides, President Kagame referred, inter alia, to Cyprus’ positive role in the Eastern Mediterranean region and wished the new High Commissioner every success in his work, underlining that he will have the support of himself and of his government.
