Job vacancies: 4th quarter 2017 - Annual Change 69,5%
The number of job vacancies for the 4th quarter of 2017 was 3.264. The number of job vacancies increased by 1.338 (69,5%) compared to the same quarter of the previous year when it was 1.926. Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2017 the number of job vacancies decreased by 1.439 (-30,6%). (Table 1)
The job vacancy rate for the 4th quarter of 2017 was 1,0%, while the job vacancy rate for the previous quarter was 1,4% and the 4th quarter of 2016 was 0,6%. The largest job vacancy rates for the 4th quarter of 2017 were presented in the Sections of Financial and Insurance Activities (2,7%) and Manufacturing (1,6%). (Table 2)

METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Definitions
A job vacancy has to be announced as vacant outside the enterprise concerned, has to be filled in the near future and the employer must have taken active steps to find a suitable candidate.
The job vacancy rate is calculated on the total number of persons employed.
Coverage
The survey covers enterprises with one and more employees in all the Economic Activities of NACE Rev. 2 except A (Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing), T (Activities of Households as Employers; Undifferentiated Goods- and Services-Producing Activities of Households for own use) and U (Activities of Extraterritorial Organizations and Bodies).
Collection of data
The data collection is carried out by telephone interview every quarter.
