Working visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, to Israel

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, departs tomorrow, Thursday, 22 March 2018, for a working visit to Israel.

During his stay in Israel, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will have separate meetings with the President of the State of Israel, Mr Reuven Rivlin, the Prime Minister, Mr Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Minister of Energy, Mr Yuval Steinitz. Moreover, Mr Christodoulides will have a working lunch with the Deputy Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office in Charge of Public Diplomacy, Mr Michael Oren.

The aforementioned meetings will cover, inter alia, bilateral relations, energy developments in the eastern Mediterranean, the trilateral cooperation between Cyprus, Israel and Greece, the Cyprus problem, EU-Israel relations, as well as various regional issues of mutual interest.

Seizing the opportunity of his visit to Israel, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will also meet with His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs will return to Cyprus on Friday, 23 March 2018.
