Repatriation of the mosaic representing Apostle Markos from the occupied church of Panagia Kanakaria in Lythragkomi

The Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that the mosaic of Apostle Markos, which adorned the apse of the occupied church of Panagia Kanakaria in Lythragkomi, Ammochostos District, has been repatriated to Cyprus from the Netherlands. Tourist Arrivals +6,6%On the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey, arrivals of tourists reached 433.617 in October 2018 compared to 406.870 in October 2017, recording an increase of 6,6%. Annual rate of change 1,9%The Harmonized Price Index (HICP) for October 2018 increased by 1,9% when compared to October 2017, while compared to September of 2018 decreased by 0,3%.
