Labour Force Survey for the first quarter of 2020
According to the results of the Labour Force Survey (LFS), the labour force in the first quarter of 2020 amounted to 449861 persons or 62,5% of the population (males 68,3%, females 57,1%) in comparison to 448369 persons (63,2%) in the corresponding quarter of 2019 (Table 1).The number of employed persons was 417057 and the employment rate 57,9% (males 63,4%, females 52,8%) in comparison to 409117 persons (57,6%) in the corresponding quarter of 2019.The number of unemployed persons amounted ...

Health and Hospital Statistics 2018
In-patient dischargesDuring 2018, 83.937 patients were treated and discharged from the general hospitals of the public sector compared to 81.988 in 2017, recording an increase of 2,4%. In addition, 1.386 patients were treated and discharged from Kyperounta and Polis Rural Hospitals in 2018 compared to 1.556 in 2017, recording a decrease of 10,9%. Submission of electronic applications required for the Special Plans of the period 13/4/2020 - 12/5/2020

Government employment in April 2020
In April 2020 total government employment increased by 233 persons (0,4%) in comparison to the corresponding month of 2019 and reached 52.650 persons. Permanent staff decreased by 674 persons (-2,4%), from 28.389 to 27.715 persons. Registered unemployed: April 2020
The unemployed persons, registered at the District Labour Offices on the last day of April 2020, reached 28.591 persons.
