Postponement of vaccinations with the AstraZeneca vaccine until 18 March

Pending the opinion of the European Medicines Agency’s Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC), which is investigating a number of cases of blood clots in people who had received the AstraZeneca vaccine in EU countries, it was decided on 15/3/2021 to temporarily postpone vaccinations in Cyprus with the AstraZeneca vaccine until Thursday, 18 March. It is clarified that the scheduled vaccination appointments with Moderna and Pfiser/BioNTech vaccines will be carried out normally.MPO/EH
