Generation and Treatment of Municipal Solid Waste 2019
The Statistical Service estimates that the total amount of municipal solid waste generated in Cyprus in 2019 stood at 566 thousand tonnes compared to 562 thousand tonnes in 2018, recording a small increase of 0,73%.From the total amount of 469 thousand tonnes treated in 2019, 80,8% was disposed in landfills, 16,3% was used for recycling, 1,7% was composted and 1,1% was used for energy recovery purposes.In 2019, the average amount of municipal solid waste generated per inhabitant in the Eur...

The Vaccination Portal will be made available to citizens over the age of 88 as of 27 January
As part of the implementation of the National Vaccination Plan for COVID-19, citizens are informed that as of Wednesday, 27 January 2021, at 9 am, the Vaccination Portal will be available for appointments for those over 88 years of age, who have not been vaccinated in the previous period or have not already arranged an appointment.
