Tourist Arrivals: January 2022
The arrivals of tourists reached 43.944 in January 2022 compared to 3.889 in January 2021 and to 85.622 tourist arrivals in January 2020.Arrivals from Russia were the main source of tourism for January 2022, with a share of 14,6% (6.414) of total arrivals, followed by Greece with 14,0% (6.141), United Kingdom with 13,0% (5.708), Ukraine with 11,2% (4.942), Poland with 6,6% (2.890) and Israel with 6,3% (2.784).For a percentage of 57,5% of tourists, the purpose of their trip in January 2022 w...

Postal services to Russia are suspended

The Cypriot state will cover the cost of PCR tests for Ukrainian citizens arriving to Larnaka and Pafos airports
In the framework of the reception of Ukrainian refugees to the Republic of Cyprus, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works informs that, upon instructions by the President of the Republic, the cost of the PCR diagnostic test, which is carried out on arrival at Larnaka and Pafos Airports for citizens arriving from Ukraine, will be covered by the Republic of Cyprus. Hydroxyethyl-starch solutions for infusion recommended for suspension from the market

EMA recommends approval of Spikevax for children aged 6 to 11
EMA’s human medicines committee (CHMP) has recommended granting an extension of indication for the COVID-19 vaccine Spikevax to include use in children aged 6 to 11.
