Government Employment by Category: September 2023

In September 2023 total government employment decreased by 373 persons (-0,7%) in comparison to the corresponding month of 2022 and reached 52.228 persons. This decrease is mainly attributed to the transfer of Hourly Paid Workers from the Ministry of Health to the State Health Services Organisation, which is included in the Broad Public Sector, as from January 2023. Permanent staff decreased by 708 persons (-2,8%), from 25.610 to 24.902 persons. Casual staff increased by 1.886 persons (10,2%)...
