Total Number of Employees 67.338The employment in the Broad Public Sector for the 1st quarter of 2018 was 67.338 persons. Job vacancies: 1st Quarter 2018

Annual Change 10,7%The number of job vacancies for the 1st quarter of 2018 was 3.761. The number of job vacancies increased by 363 (10,7%) compared to the same quarter of the previous year when it was 3.398. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2017 the number of job vacancies increased by 497 (15,2%). The Hala Sultan Mosque will not be accessible to visitors on 20 June 2018

The Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that, due to the celebrations of the month of Ramadan, an organised visit by a large number of pilgrims will take place at the Mosque of Hala Sultan in Larnaka. Press Release by the Department of Antiquities for the Cyprus Rally 2018

The Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that, due to the Cyprus Rally 2018 (Nicosia Super Special Stage), access to the Cyprus Museum will be limited on Wednesday 13th June 2018 from 16:00 onwards. On Sunday 17th June 2018 the Cyprus Museum will remain closed to the public.(AM/II)

Government Labour Force by Category: May 2018

In May 2018 the Government labour force increased by 848 persons (1,7%) compared to 2017. The casual staff increased by 9,7% and reached 16.502 persons compared to 15.045 persons in May 2017. Permanent staff decreased by 609 persons (-1,7%).  Compared to May 2017 there is an increase in all the categories of Government labour force except the Hourly Paid Workers.
