Press Centers

The Press and Information Office operates as Press Center during electoral processes taking place in Cyprus, in order to facilitate local and foreign media representatives. During the operation of the Press Center, all media representatives have unlimited access to the necessary facilities such as workstations equipped with computers with internet access, wi-fi connection, printers, telephone and fax lines, xerox machines and TV monitors. In addition, Press and Information Officers are present at all times to assist media representatives and foreign correspondents throughout the operation of the Press Center.

Moreover, Press Centers are set up, on an ad hoc basis, during important international conferences taking place in Cyprus and/or visits by foreign dignitaries to the island. In cases such as these, the PIO provides its expertise, as well as the necessary equipment in cooperation with the Department of Information Technology, and its Press Officers to man the Press Centers.
