The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January – September 2019. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods, classified by the 6^th digit commodity code and by partner country. The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

a. Total imports in January – September 2019 amounted to €6.170,0 mn as compared to €6.602,0 mn in January –  September 2018. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States) in January – September 2019 were €2.400,1 mn compared to €3.595,2 mn in January – September 2018. The trade deficit was €3.769,9 mn in January – September 2019 compared to €3.006,8 mn in the corresponding month of 2018.

b. Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January – September 2019 were €996,7 mn compared to €1.267,3 mn in January – September 2018. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January – September 2019 were €906,4 mn compared to €1.173,7 mn in January – September 2018.  Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January – September 2019 were €79,3 mn compared to €78,7 mn in January – September 2018.
