The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, leaves on Tuesday morning, 17 April, for London where he will participate in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) that will take place in the British capital on 18-20 April 2018.

During his stay in London, President Anastasiades will have tomorrow, 17 April, in the afternoon, a bilateral meeting with the British Prime Minister Mrs Theresa May, at the Office of the Prime Minister.

On the occasion of his participation in the Commonwealth Meeting, the President of the Republic will also have on 18, 19 and 20 April separate meetings with Prince Charles and the Prime Ministers of Australia, New Zealand and India, whereas on 18 April he will attend a dinner that will be hosted by Prime Minister May in honor of the heads of state and government participating in the Meeting. In addition, on the same day, the President of the Republic will meet with the Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization at the headquarters of the Organization in London.

On 19 April, the President of the Republic will attend the opening ceremony of the CHOGM and will be officially welcomed by Prime Minister May and the Secretary General of the Commonwealth Mrs. Patricia Scotland.

He will subsequently participate in the proceedings of the Meeting.

In the evening, the President will attend a dinner that will be hosted by Queen Elizabeth II for the heads of state and government.

On 20 April, President Anastasiades will attend a breakfast that will be hosted by the Commonwealth Games Federation. He will subsequently participate in the proceedings of the CHOGM and in the afternoon he will attend the official closing ceremony of the Meeting.

In the evening of 20 April, the President of the Republic will attend a dinner that will be will be hosted in his honor by the National Federation of Cypriots in the United Kingdom on the premises of the Greek Cypriot Brotherhood of London.

The President of the Republic will be accompanied in London by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Nikos Christodoulides, the Government Spokesman Mr Prodromos Prodromou and government staff.
