Today, special benefits were paid to about 7,500 additional beneficiaries, after a personalized examination and correction of the errors that have been identified in the applications that were submitted, which mainly concerned the confirmation of their bank accounts.

In addition, today 412 employers who applied for special unemployment benefits for their employees, following partial or complete suspension of their company's operations, were called in order to correct the applications they have submitted. All 412 employers, whose applications were not processed due to problems that were identified, were contacted by telephone, and they were asked to contact their employees and submit new applications in the computerized system.

Upon submission of the applications, the special unemployment benefits will be paid immediately to about 5,500 employees who are employed by the abovementioned companies. All the above employers were requested to inform their employees about the problem that has arisen resulting in the non-payment of their benefits until today.

The payment of the special benefits in all cases of beneficiaries for whom the submitted data are confirmed or corrected, will continue in the coming days.
