The Ministry of Health announces that the maximum fee charged for carrying out a laboratory examination for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, in accordance with today’s Decree by the Health Minister, is set at €75 for the molecular test. 

It is made clear that the only acceptable and approved method of detecting the COVID-19 disease is the diagnostic method of tracing the genetic material of the virus, and, besides the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics and the Microbiological Laboratories of the OKYpY clinics, the following private Clinical Laboratories have completed the verification process of the diagnostic methodology that detects the genetic material of the virus (RT-RCR):

The revised maximum price comes into effect as of tomorrow, 21 August 2020.
