The Office of the Commissioner for Volunteering and Non-Governmental Organizations informs the associations, foundations and clubs that the House of Representatives has voted to extend its application on Associations and Foundations and other Related Issues of Law 2017 (Law 104 (I) of 2017, 76 (I) of 2018) and as amended in 2018.

Therefore, the necessary changes must be submitted by the Associations, Foundations and Clubs by 27/10/2020, in order to be harmonized with the relevant legislation. These amendments aim to enhance the financial transparency and good governance of organizations and to create a potentially credible environment for organizations.

There have been continuous extensions for the implementation of the legislation, three years and three months, time which is more than enough to submit the changes provided by the legislation. The Office of the Commissioner encourages associations, foundations and clubs to take advantage of the extension that has been granted and to continue without delay their harmonization with the legislation.
