The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, received a congratulatory message from the President of the Russian Federation, Mr Vladimir Putin.

In his message President Putin stated the following:

“Please accept my sincere congratulations with your reelection to the position of the President of Cyprus.

To a large extent due to your personal efforts the Russian-Cypriot relations have been developing very successfully.

I count on a further substantive dialogue and a constructive joint work with you for further strengthening the wide range of bilateral relations. I am confident that this meets fundamental interests of the friendly peoples of our countries, steers the course of stability and security in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.

I wish you good health and new successes in your responsible activity as the head of state.”
