Schedule for the arrangement of vaccination appointments against COVID-19 for April 29-30 and May 4th

A total of 259,089 vaccinations against COVID-19 (29.4 doses per 100 inhabitants) have been carried out until April 27 in Cyprus, while the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19 is progressing rapidly, based on the available quantities of the four licensed vaccines. According to data published by the ECDC, 193,882 (24.1%) vaccinations concern the administration of the 1st dose, and 65,207 (7.9%) vaccinations concern the administration of both doses.

Aiming at the faster vaccination coverage of a larger percentage of the population, the Vaccination Centres are now working on extended hours, with the ability to carry out up to 14,000 vaccinations per day, based on the availability of vaccines. Our country has surpassed the target of 45 years of age that had been initially set for the month of April, and is already proceeding with the vaccination coverage of the age group of 30-39 as of 29 April.

According to the schedule, the Vaccination Portal will be available for the following age groups, as follows:

Age

Priority Date for the Vaccination Portal

39-40

Thursday, 29 April, 7:30 in the morning to 8 in the evening

68-70

Friday, 30 April, 7:30 in the morning to 8 in the evening

37-38

Tuesday, 4 May, 7:30 in the morning to 8 in the evening

The Vaccination Portal will be accessible on the above dates and hours only for the ages mentioned in each case and not for individuals of older ages. The next openings of the Vaccination Portal will be announced at a later stage.

It is recalled that the interval period between the 1st and 2nd dose for the Moderna vaccine is 28 days, for the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine 21 days, for the AstraZeneca vaccine eight weeks, while the Janssen vaccine is of a single dose.
