Continuing the administration of the 3rd dose vaccination procedure for the population groups defined in a decision by the Council of Ministers, and aiming at better protection against COVID-19, through reinforcing immunity, the Ministry of Health proceeds as of tomorrow, 6 October 2021, with the administration of a booster dose to people aged 75 and over.

It should be noted that the 3rd dose is administered in Vaccination Centres island-wide, either after an arrangement of appointment via the Vaccination Portal or through the walk-in vaccination centres without prior appointment arrangement. Walk-in centres for a 3rd dose vaccination operate from Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 1 p.m.

Up until yesterday, a booster dose was administered to 13,844 individuals, who belong to priority groups for the 3rd dose.
