Age limit for vaccination with the 3rd dose lowered — The Vaccination Portal at the disposal of people aged 70 years and over as of 8/10/2021

The age limit for the administration of the 3rd dose of the vaccine is further reduced as of the 8th of October, in an effort to complete vaccination with a booster dose for people aged 65 and over, so as to increase their immunity and protection against COVID-19.

In particular, as of 8 October, access to the Vaccination Portal will be available to citizens who are aged 70 and over, provided that six months from the date they received the 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine have elapsed. Appointments will take place from Monday, October 11, onwards.

At the same time, as of Monday, 11 October, and every Monday to Thursday, from 8 am to 1 pm, walk-in vaccination centres will serve people aged 70 and over who wish to be vaccinated with the 3rd dose.

Until the 6th of October, 17.140 people, who belong to the population groups that were given priority for vaccination following a decision of the Council of Ministers, were vaccinated with a 3rd dose.
