According to the provisional precipitation data of the Department of Meteorology, the average area precipitation for December was 198mm or 188% of normal (normal period: 1961-1990). Monthly precipitation was much above normal.

December 2021 is ranked as the 18^th wettest December since 1901 (concerning precipitation).

Snowfall was recorded on the 8^th, 15^th, 17^th-21^st and on the 29^th of December. Hail was recorded on the 5^th, 13^th, 14^th and 30^th of December.

The cumulative average area precipitation during the period October-December 2021 was about 235mm or 122% of normal (provisional precipitation data). The cumulative precipitation was above normal almost in all areas.
