Intra & Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country), January – November 2021

1. The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication “Intra & Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January - November 2021. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods, classified at the 6 digits commodity code level and by partner country.

2. The main developments in the foreign trade of Cyprus were:

(a) Total imports of goods (from EU Member States and from third countries) in January - November 2021 amounted to €7.775,6 mn as compared to €6.928,6 mn in January - November 2020, recording an increase of 12,2%. Total exports of goods (to EU Member States and to third countries) in January - November 2021 were €2.945,8 mn compared to €2.556,0 mn in the same period of 2020, registering an increase of 15,3%. The trade deficit was €4.829,8 mn in January - November 2021 compared to €4.372,6 mn in the corresponding period of 2020.

(b) The European Union was the main source of supply of goods to Cyprus with a share of €5.033,2 mn of total imports, while imports from all other European countries totalled €576,9 mn in January - November 2021. Imports from the rest of the world amounted to €2.165,5 mn.

(c) Exports to the European Union accounted for €804,7 mn, while exports to all other European countries for €395,3 mn in January - November 2021. Exports to the rest of the world amounted to €1.745,8 mn.
