Total employment for the 4^rd quarter of 2021 is estimated at 451.767 persons, of which 402.117 are employees and 49.650 are self-employed.

Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2020, total employment increased by 1,6% for the 4^th quarter of 2021. The most significant percentage increases were observed in the economic activities of Accommodation and Food Services (NACE I), Education (NACE P), Construction (NACE F) and Information and Communication (NACE J).

Actual hours worked for the 4^th quarter of 2021 are estimated at 201.447 thousand; an increase of 4,9% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2020. The most significant percentage increases were observed in the economic activities of Arts, Entertainment and Recreation (NACE R), Accommodation and Food Services (NACE I), Transportation and Storage (NACE H), Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles (NACE G), Information & Communication (NACE J) and Construction (NACE F).
