Announcement by the Ministry Health on the release of close contacts that have not been isolated from a COVID-19 positive case

Following the decision of the Council of Ministers of 3 March 2022, the Ministry of Health informs that as of today, 8 March 2022, individuals who are close contacts of a confirmed positive case and who have not been isolated from the positive case (e.g. parents taking care of their minor child, individuals who care for people who cannot take care of themselves) will be able to receive a release on the day of release of the positive case, provided that they have a negative test result (Rapid or PCR).

It is recalled that based on the protocol for the management of close contacts, self-isolation is mandatory for:

  • individuals who do not have a history of vaccination,
  • individuals who have not completed their vaccination scheme (two doses for two-dose vaccines or 14 days have not elapsed since they have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine),
  • individuals who have completed their vaccination scheme and the period of 7 months has elapsed, or have become ill and the 90-day period has elapsed.
