The Ministry of Health reminds and clarifies that the use of a protective mask is mandatory in indoor and closed areas.

The obligation to wear a mask has been suspended since 15 May 2022, only for children under 12 years of age.

The use of a protective mask is mandatory in airports and offenders will be fined 300 euro. The european recommendations to suspend the mandatory use of a mask will be evaluated at a later stage by the Ministry of Health, in consultation with the Scientific Advisory Committee.

The Ministry of Health calls on citizens to follow the instructions for compliance with personal protection measures, as the use of a protective mask is still one of the best precautions against COVID-19 transmission.
