Annual Decrease 2,8%

The Statistical Service announces the publication of detailed data on the sales of commodities produced by industrial units in Cyprus in 2020, both in quantity (wherever this is possible) and in value terms.

During 2020 the total sales of industrial commodities of local production reached €3.416,2 million compared to €3.514,4 million in 2019, registering a decrease of 2,8%.

The sales from local industrial units of some indicative products were in 2020: halloumi cheese 42,2 thousand tonnes with value €285,5 million, pasteurized milk and fresh cream 63,0 million litres with value €77,5 million, fresh fruit juice 50,8 thousand tonnes with value €31,8 million, prepared meat products €39,3 million, fresh bakery and pastry products €244,3 million, beer 31,1 million litres with value €32,3 million, wines 8,6 million litres with value €25,0 million, soft drinks 8,1 million litres with value €10,6 million, wearing apparel €9,5 million, pharmaceutical products and preparations €335,0 million, cement €104,3 million and ready-mixed concrete 2,7 million cubic metres with value €173,0 million.
