The Office of the Law Commissioner announces that the updated edition of the Index of Bilateral Treaties of the Republic of Cyprus has been released in electronic form. The Index constitutes a comprehensive record of the treaty-making practice of the Republic in the period from its establishment onward. This updated edition adds to the record all bilateral international treaties which entered into force after the release of the previous edition of the Index (i.e. August 2017).

The maintenance of a record of international treaties is one of the main competences of the Office of the Law Commissioner. The compilation of the Index is a continuous endeavour and aims to provide a tool of reference to legal professionals, researchers, diplomats, but also to every citizen of the Republic.

The Index has been posted on the website of the Office of the Law Commissioner, under the “International Treaties” pillar.
