In view of the upcoming Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Ms Stephie Dracos, had a meeting with the Ambassador of Sweden in Cyprus, Mr Martin Hagstrom.

Issues of common interest were raised in areas concerning the combating of crime, the reform of the judicial system and family law, human rights, etc.

Finally, the Minister thanked Mr Hagstrom, and at the same time expressed full confidence in the further strengthening of productive relations between the two countries. Cyprus, as the Minister mentioned, will support Sweden during its Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
