The Health Insurance Organisation (HIO) would like to inform any interested party that it has recently updated its Privacy Notice to ensure that any Personal Data processing undertaken by the Organization within the auspices of the GHS operation, continues to comply with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR (Regulation 2016/679). The GHS Privacy Notice may be found on both Beneficiaries and Providers Portal and is accessible through the website www.gesy.org.cy. Upon entering the Portal, the user can access the Privacy Notice at the bottom of the screen. This Notice has also been posted on the official social media accounts of HIO.

It is noted that the purpose of the GHS Privacy Notice is to inform the public regarding the processing of Personal Data collected and processed by the HIO in the context of the operation of the GHS, as well as the rights of the data subjects pertaining to such processing.

It is emphasized that the HIO is fully committed to matters pertaining to the protection of Personal Data and as such, it takes appropriate technical and organizational information security measures to prevent, deter and/or limit accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access to such data.
