The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January - May 2018. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods, classified by the 6^th digit commodity code and by partner country.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

1. Total imports in January - May 2018 amounted to €3.781,9 mn as compared to €3.244,2  mn in January - May 2017.  Total exports in January - May 2018 were €2.070,3 mn compared to €1.081,9 mn in January - May 2017. The trade deficit was €1.711,6 mn in January - May 2018 compared to €2.162,3 mn in the corresponding period of 2017.
2.  Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January - May 2018 were €585,8 mn compared to €533,4 mn in January - May 2017. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January - May 2018 were €527,6 mn compared to €468,4 mn in January - May 2017.  Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January - May 2018 were €54,5 mn compared to €56,1 mn in January - May 2017.
