On 27th of August 2018 the Cypriot composer and soloist Notis Georgiou held a concert with the Argentinean National Congress Chamber Orchestra (Orquesta de Cámara del Congreso de la Nación) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, supported by the Embassy of Cyprus in Brazil and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The highly appraised Cypriot conductor presented music from Cyprus, Greece, Austria and Argentina.    

The renowned Argentine National Congress Chamber Orchestra was created in 1990 and operates under the aegis of the two legislative bodies of the country.

The invitation by the music director of the Orchestra Sebastiano De Filippi to Notis Georgiou to present his work, offered a unique opportunity for the promotion of Cypriot culture in Argentina. Notis Georgiou is a well-known Cypriot conductor, composer and soloist with a rich international career, especially in Hungary where he has been awarded with numerous artistic awards.
