The Tax Department informs that as of 1 August 2018, VAT refunds to taxpayers are made by wire transfer and the issue of bank cheques has been terminated.

Therefore, taxpayers who (a) have already applied for a VAT refund and their claim has not yet been examined or (b) may in the future submit an application for VAT refund, are invited to submit form (ΤΦ1900) 2017 and the relevant documents required,

• at the Local District Offices of the Tax Department;

• by post to the address “Tax Department, 1471 Nicosia”.

It is noted that those who have already submitted the above form do not have to submit it again. For any changes to their bank account details, taxpayers must notify the Tax Commissioner in writing, submitting also a new Form (Τ1900) 2017 with the new information.
