The total registrations of motor vehicles increased by 15,2% to 37.817 in January – September 2018,  from 32.833 vehicles in the same period of 2017.

Passenger saloon cars increased to 31.292, from 27.140 in January – September 2017, i.e. there was a rise of 15,3%. Of the total passenger saloon cars, 10.554 or 33,7% were new and 20.738 or 66,3% were used cars.

Goods conveyance vehicles increased by 20,0% to 3.817 in January-September 2018, compared to 3.180 in January - September 2017.

Light goods vehicles increased by 22,3% to 3.274, from 2.676 in January – September 2017.

Heavy goods vehicles increased by 28,8% to 398 in January – September 2018, from 309 in January – September 2017.

Road tractors (units of trailers) decreased by 25,6% to 145 in January – September 2018, from 195 in January – September 2017.

Mopeds < 50cc decreased by 1,4% to 215 in January – September 2018, compared to 218 in January – September 2017.

(e)

Mechanised cycles > 50cc increased by 4,6% to 2.001 in the first nine months of 2018, compared to 1.913 in the corresponding period of 2017.
