The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the new monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for July 2018.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a)      Total imports(covering total imports from third countries and from EU member states) in January-July 2018 amounted to €5.230,6 mn as compared to €4.402,9 mn in January-July 2017. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU member states) in January-July 2018 were €3.009,7 mn compared to €1.807,5 mn in January-July 2017. The trade deficitwas €2.220,8 mn in January-July 2018 compared to €2.595,4 mn in the corresponding period of 2017.

(b)      During July 2018 total imports(covering total imports from third countries and from EU member states) valued at €809,7 mn as compared to €593,2 mn in July 2017.

(c)      Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU member states), including stores and provisions, in July 2018 amounted to €353,3 mn as compared to €309,4 mn in July 2017. Exports of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions in July 2018 were €187,2 mn as compared to €113,8 mn in July 2017 whilst exports of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, in July 2018 were €166,1 mn as compared to €195,6 mn in July 2017. Total domestic exports of industrial products in July 2018 were €179,1 mn compared to €105,3 mn in July 2017. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in July 2018 were €5,7 mn compared to €5,8 mn in July 2017.
