Agriculture Minister travels to Luxembourg to discuss CAP and to Israel to discuss water management issues
The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment, Mr Costas Kadis, departed for Luxembourg to participate in the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council meeting taking place on Monday 15 October. The Council will discuss the post 2020 CAP reform package and will be informed on the latest developments in the fight against African swine fever.
On October 16, Mr Kadis will pay an official visit to Israel, in the framework of the cooperation between the two countries on issues regarding water management and the environment. During his visit, Mr Kadis will meet with the Israeli Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Uri Ariel, as well as with the Israeli Minister of Environmental Protection, Mr Zeev Elkin.
Moreover, Mr Kadis along with government officials, representatives of farmers’ organisations and entrepreneurs will be informed on water saving practices and modern water management technologies in agriculture and domestic use implemented by Israel, which is a pioneer in this field.
