The Chief Returning Officer, Dr Elikkos Elia, on the day of the elections, 9 June 2024, will make scheduled statements to inform the public regarding the voting process and the voting turnout percentages as follows:

7:05  – The Chief Returning Officer will make a statement on the commencement of the voting

10:15 – The Chief Returning Officer will make a statement on voter turnout until 10:00 a.m.

12:15 – The Chief Returning Officer will make a statement on voter turnout until 12 noon and the temporary closure of the ballot boxes.

13:15 – The Chief Returning Officer will make a statement on the recommencement of the voting at 1 p.m.

15:15 – The Chief Returning Officer will make a statement on voter turnout until 3 p.m.

17:15 – The Chief Returning Officer will make a statement on voter turnout until 5 p.m.

18:00 – The Chief Returning Officer will make a statement on the completion of the electoral process and the possible publication of the exit polls.

18:15 – The Chief Returning Officer will make a statement on the final voter turnout.

The final results and the elected members of the European Parliament will be announced by the Chief Returning Officer on Monday, 10 June 2024.

Regarding those elected to Local Government offices, the relevant announcements will be made by the respective Elections Officers.
