The Director of the European Environment Agency to talk on the transition of European countries to sustainable societies, at the Cyprus University of Technology
The Faculty of Geotechnical Sciences and Environmental Management of the Cyprus University of Technology is organising its Annual Lecture and public consultation on 8 November 2018, at 6:30 p.m. in Lemesos, with the distinguished speaker Dr Hans Bruyninckx, Executive Director of the European Environment Agency.
The lecture is co-οrganised with the Press and Information Office of the Republic of Cyprus as it is part of the EU-wide citizens’ consultation initiative taking place about the Future of Europe: https://www.pio.gov.cy/en/cwc-arxiki.html
The European Environment Agency (EEA) is an agency of the European Union, whose task is to provide sound, independent information on the environment. The EEA aims to support sustainable development by helping to achieve significant and measurable improvement in Europe's environment, through the provision of timely, targeted, relevant and reliable information to policymaking agents and the public. In his lecture, Dr Bruyninckx will talk about the opportunities and challenges for the transition of European countries to sustainable societies.
The event will take place in Amphitheatre 1 of the "Tassos Papadopoulos" building, the Cyprus University of Technology, at the corner of Themidos and Ifigenias streets, in the centre of Lemesos.
