The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January - September 2018. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods, classified by the 6^th digit commodity code and by partner country.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

Total imports in January-September 2018 amounted to €6.586,8 mn as compared to €5.556,6 mn in January-September 2017. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States) in January-September 2018 were €3.537,3 mn compared to €2.324,8 mn in January-September 2017. The trade deficit was €3.049,5 mn in January-September 2018 compared to €3.231,9 mn in the corresponding period of 2017.

Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January - September 2018 were €1.255,8 mn compared to €904,0 mn in January - September 2017. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January - September 2018 were €1.172,9  mn compared to €808,0 mn in January - September 2017.  Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January - September 2018 were €75,0 mn compared to €81,9 mn in January - September 2017.
