The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January - February 2019. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods, classified by the 6^th digit commodity code and by partner country. 

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a) Total imports in January - February 2019 amounted to €1.370,4 mn as compared to €1.233,9 mn in January - February  2018. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU member states) in January - February 2019 were €712,4 mn compared to €395,9 mn in January - February  2018. The trade deficit was €658,0 mn in January - February  2019 compared to €838,0 mn in the corresponding month of 2018.

(b) Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January - February 2019 were €161,0 mn compared to €204,4 mn in January - February  2018. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January - February 2019 were €141,8 mn compared to €183,6 mn in January - February  2018.  Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January - February 2019 were €16,4 mn compared to €18,4 mn in January - February  2018.
