Οpening ceremony of the 20th World Conference of Overseas Cypriots POMAK-PSEKA and NEPOMAK
The opening ceremony of the 20th World Conference of Overseas Cypriots by the World Federation of Overseas Cypriots (POMAK), the International Coordinating Committee “Justice for Cyprus” (PSEKA) and the Youth of the World Federation of Overseas Cypriots (NEPOMAK) will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, 27/8/2019, at Filoxenia Conference Center, in Lefkosia.
The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, will declare the opening of the conference at 7 p.m.
The Presidential Commissioner, Mr Photis Photiou, the President of the House of Representatives, Mr Demetris Syllouris, the Archbishop of Cyprus, Chrysostomos B’ and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece – Minister for Diaspora Greeks, Mr Antonis Diamataris, will address the ceremony. The Head of POMAK, Mr Andreas Papaevripides, the Head of PSEKA, Mr Philip Christopher and the President of NEPOMAK, Mr Christos Tuton, will also address the ceremony.
The event will be broadcast via Cytanet live streaming, on the website of the Presidential Commissioner at www.commissionertothepresidency.gov.cy and by RIK TV channel.
The Conference is conducted with the cooperation of the Press and Information Office, the Cyprus Police and the Government Printing Office.
The Conference works that will be completed on Friday, 30th August 2019, are sponsored by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, Hellenic Bank, RCB Bank, CYTA, the EOKA Melathron Agoniston and the companies: Remedica, Passion for Success – Cyprus Convention Bureau, Oracle and P&P ice cream group, as well as by a rehomed expatriate from the UK, Mr Marios Olympios.
