Foreign Trade Statistics: January – July 2019
The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January – July 2019. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods, classified by the 6th digit commodity code and by partner country.
The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:
a. Total imports in January – July 2019 amounted to €4.798,1 mn as compared to €5.268,5 mn in January – July 2018. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States) in January – July 2019 were €1.950,4 mn compared to €3.057,6 mn in January – July 2018. The trade deficit was €2.847,7 mn in January – July 2019 compared to €2.210,9 mn in the corresponding month of 2018.
b. Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January – July 2019 were €777,1 mn compared to €941,2 mn in January – July 2018. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January – July 2019 were €697,8 mn compared to €858,7 mn in January – July 2018. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January – July 2019 were €70,3 mn compared to €70,5 mn in January – July 2018.
