Agriculture Minister will participate in the debate on CAP's future in Brussels
The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment, Mr. Costas Kadis, departs for Brussels today to participate to the Agriculture and Fisheries Council of the European Union on Monday 18 November 2019.
The Council will continue the exchange of views on the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Reform Package after 2020. The Council is expected to focus in particular on the environmental and climate aspects of the new CAP, discussing both the results achieved so far for the improvement of the environmental and climate ambitions of the European Union's agricultural policy, as well as proposals for future work.
The debate will also include the transitional CAP Rules proposed by the European Commission, which aim to ensure continuity of payments and programs in 2020.
