The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, will travel to Brussels tomorrow to participate in the deliberations of the European Council Summit which will be held on 24 and 25 March.

During the Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the EU member states the Ukrainian issue, Energy issues in view of the situation in Ukraine, EU Defence and Security issues, as well as the situation in relation with the coronavirus pandemic will be discussed. Furthermore, economic issues with a focus on how to further strengthen the Single Market, as well as food security issues will be discussed. On Friday, 25 of March, the Euro Summit will be held.

The President of the Republic will be accompanied by the Government Spokesman, Mr Marios Pelekanos, and the Deputy Minister to the President, Mr Kyriakos Koushos.
